The Role: Our Technology team is seeking a Digital & Customer Platforms Manager to support the ongoing evolution of our customer‑facing systems. In this role, you’ll lead Developers and Test Analysts across the Ecommerce and Retail workstreams, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, reliable digital solutions that enhance the customer experience across every touchpoint. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the business, to guide system design, prioritise work, and drive clear, effective outcomes. This role suits someone who thrives on collaboration, enjoys navigating competing priorities, and is motivated by improving digital capability at scale. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery, performance, and optimisation of all customer‑facing systems, including ecommerce, POS, and related middleware. Oversee system analysis, solution design, and documentation to ensure high‑quality, integrated technical outcomes. Manage and develop a team of Developers and Test Analysts, ensuring strong capability, collaboration, and consistent standards. Ensure all code, testing, and release processes meet best‑practice quality, performance, and documentation expectations. Support and guide QA and UAT activities, resolving issues and ensuring system stability post‑implementation. Build strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with Product Owners, to align technical delivery with business needs. Maintain a clear, achievable technology roadmap and flag risks or changes in a timely manner. Manage vendor relationships to ensure platform stability, issue resolution, and ongoing technology improvements. Drive continuous functional improvements and promote future‑focused system enhancements across the business. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, documentation, and workplace safety requirements across all systems and team activities. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, with strong ecommerce development experience. 10 years in the industry, including 5 years leading technical teams. Strong cloud expertise, ideally AWS, with a proven history delivering medium–large cloud projects. Solid programming ability and confidence working across complex system environments. Key behavioural strengths including attention to detail, problem‑solving, interpersonal effectiveness, and strong teamwork.
